Following a “severe” crash on Saturday, Aprilia’s Aleix Espargaro says he will decide on his ongoing participation in the MotoGP British Grand Prix after Sunday’s warm-up. Prior to qualifying on Saturday afternoon, the Spaniard lost control at 115 mph through the left-hand Farm Curve.

Medical personnel came to his rescue and transferred him on a stretcher. Espargaro was obviously startled by the accident, but he was still able to walk to the hospital with assistance on each side.

Aleix’s condition will be evaluated in the next hours, according to Aprilia, because if the pain worsens, he could not be able to compete in the race tomorrow.
