Barbara Linhares Ferreira (born December 14, 1996; Portuguese: A model, actor, and social media influencer from the United States. The HBO series Euphoria, in which she played Kat Hernandez, is her most well-known work (2019–2022).

The HBO actor portrayed the beloved character Kat Hernandez, who in season 1 became a poster child for body positivity on the way to sexual and self-discovery. Despite her compelling storyline in season 1, her character was given less attention in season 2, which left fans perplexed when her plotline vanished from view.

Barbie dispelled the rumours in a March interview with Insider. In February 2022, there were rumours of tension between Barbie and the show’s creator Sam Levinson on set, including that Barbie had stormed off set twice, which HBO refuted.

In a previous interview with Insider, Barbie expressed her desire for further episodes to delve deeper into Kat’s “interior fantasy world.”
