Freeport Boy Missing Update, What Happened, Freeport Police Department Statement

Officials reported that a 14-year-old kid from Freeport, Maine, who went missing last week, was found dead on Tuesday.

Theo Ferrara was enrolled in Regional School Unit 5 where his superintendent, Jean Skorapa, said in a statement, “It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter to notify you that Theo Ferrara was found deceased this afternoon.” “We send our deepest sympathies to Theo’s family and friends. All students and staff will have access to counselling and bereavement support from the school district during this period of time while the school community processes this news and deals with its grief.

The body of a young guy was found in Maquoit Bay near Brunswick, Maine, “where they had been searching for” Ferrara, according to Shannon Moss, a spokeswoman for the Maine Department of Safety.

The office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta, where the formal identification and cause of death will be established, received the body and transferred it there, according to Moss.

Previously, according to Freeport police, Ferrara was last observed around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday travelling toward the Brunswick town line on Flying Point Road close to his home.

At 4 o’clock on Tuesday, Freeport Police Chief Nathaniel Goodman was supposed to brief reporters on the situation. No one has been taken into custody in relation to Ferrara’s passing.

Theo was last seen on Thursday at his Freeport home at 4:30 p.m. He is described as being about 125 pounds and 5 feet 7 inches tall, with brown eyes and hair. He was last seen sporting a royal blue rucksack, grey shorts with neon stripes, and a white windbreaker over a T-shirt.
