Is There A Train Strike On Saturday 8th October? Reason, Strike Dates, Effects On Trains in UK

disruption on Saturday, October 8th, and the lines that are impacted, including some Overground and Tube services. On October 8, travellers may expect rail services to be disrupted for a third day.

Reason

Members of the TSSA, including those who work in ticket booths, stations, control rooms, and other support positions, are requesting a guarantee that there won’t be any forced layoffs, as well as a pay increase that keeps up with the cost of living crisis and an end to arbitrary changes to terms and conditions.

“We only realised last weekend that our strike action was rock-solid across the country,” general secretary Manuel Cortes stated. Our outstanding members are still committed to seeing that their demands are satisfied through a fair settlement.

We do not strike lightly, but we are prepared to fight for a fair deal on wages, job security, and working conditions in the face of austerity, the collapse of the economy, and a cost-of-living crisis caused by this disorganised Tory government.

It’s time for ministers to move quickly to deliver a fair solution that will end a winter of rail misery across the network, given the likelihood of additional strikes and broader industrial action this week.

Strike Dates!

On Saturday, October 8, at roughly 4am, Night Overground for Friday, October 7 comes to an end.No service is anticipated from 4am to 8am and after 6pm.Reduced hours of operation are from 8am to 6pm.
