Who is Nicolas Cordoba?

Dr. Esfandiar “Steve” Kadivar employed Nicolas Olvera Cordoba around six to seven years before the tragedy. He helped Steve manage his ranch in Lancaster, California, where they grew alfalfa and pistachios in addition to cattle.

Nicolas drove by the property just after 11 p.m. on July 5, 2006, and found 64-year-old Steve dead and covered in bullet wounds. He was killed while feeding livestock. Nicolas contacted 911 right away.

According to investigators, Steve was shot with a pistol and a rifle. The safe on the premises, which contained cash, Iranian gold coins, and jewels, had gone stolen.

Nicolas, according to the documentary, skipped work that morning and denied any participation in the murder. The investigation then paused, frustrating Steve’s family. The property was then leased to Nicolas by Steve’s spouse in December 2006.

Efrain Martines became a business partner in Nicolas’ firm, and the two agreed to divide the profits. However, Efrain’s corpse was recovered in the bed of his pickup truck a few kilometers away in April 2007. He had taken many rounds from an assault weapon.

The police made a breakthrough in their investigation when Marcos Garcia was apprehended. He was caught in an immigration violation, but he acknowledged to shooting Efrain, according to the program. The story moved swiftly from this point forward.

When Nicolas was working for Steve, he discovered a safe full of jewels, and he once let greed overpower him. Nicolas then hired Arturo Rosales Verdun and Antonio Martnez to kill Steve in exchange for money later.

As a result, on July 5, 2006, Arturo and Antonio shot Steve in the head and stole the safe. The cops later located several of Steve’s missing weaponry as well as Iranian money inside Antonio’s residence. The safe was found hidden on the property where Antonio’s wife lived.

Then Nicolas and Efrain began to dispute, prompting the former to devise yet another murder-for-hire plan. Nicolas paid Marcos $5,000 to assassinate Efrain this time. Marcos first opposed but then agreed. Efrain was shot by Marcos on April 28, 2007, and Antonio and Arturo aided in transporting his corpse and automobile.
