Buena Park, California (KABC) – When Buena Park’s father took his wife to dinner for the first time in nearly 30 years, a suspect was arrested for hit-and-run and killed.
Keith Allan, a father of three, failed to stop at a red light on August 14th. And as the couple drove to their favourite restaurant, they collided with his sedan.

Nathaniel Machad of Anaheim, 24 years old, surrendered in court on Friday and is currently detained on manslaughter and other charges for the vehicle, according to Buena Park police.

According to police, a driver suspected of hit-and-run struck two Jaguars at a red light on Western Avenue’s Autocenter Drive. Keith died at the scene, and Tami was seriously injured and taken to the intensive care unit.

Everyone in the suspect’s car fled on foot, according to police. A couple of badly damaged Jaguars and a red SUV can be seen in the video from the scene.

Keith Allan was well-known for his sense of humour, as well as his love of Dalmatians and Star Trek. He was a lawyer who always prioritised community and family. The night before my daughter’s birthday, I went there.

Naomi Alan, his daughter, said, “I was struck by the fact that he would never be there again on my birthday.” β€œHe’s not taking me down the aisle. He’ll never meet his grandson. He’s no longer there.”

The family has set up a GoFundMe page for those who want to contribute to their funeral and medical expenses.
